Frequently Asked Questions
Can I meet the therapist in person?
No, all sessions will be conducted on Zoom. You will receive a link before your scheduled appointment.

Can I stop seeing the therapist when I want to?
Yes. During the course of counselling, your counsellor will help you decide how long you’ll need counselling for. If you are unsatisfied with your experience as a counselee, you can discuss it with your therapist, who will try to address your concerns, or can refer you to another therapist.

What types of issues can therapy help with?
Therapy can address a wide range of issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship conflicts, trauma, self-esteem issues, and life transitions.

Can I call or text my therapist in between sessions?
We do not provide chat-based therapy. The therapist is unable to provide crisis counselling or offer support outside of scheduled appointments. This policy ensures professional boundaries and prevents the development of dependency.

How can a third person who doesn’t know me help out with my problem?
The reason counselling is effective is because the counsellor is a third person. This enables the counsellor to be neutral, objective and non-judgemental of you. It is unethical for counsellors to provide professional counselling to their friends or relatives as they may not be neutral and objective with them.
